TopMarks Exam drills. Past questions and exam-standard practice with worked solutions, Tutor and Test modes, and full timed simulation — the half that builds volume and exam speed.
You used to have to choose between them. You do not any more: every membership opens both, so you can learn a topic and then prove it on real past questions in the same sitting. Look around TopMarks Learn first if you want to see it before paying.

What do I get free?
On TopMarks Exam: 10 sets (100 questions) in every subject — 1,800 questions in total, with full step-by-step solutions. On TopMarks Learn: the first skill of each SSS year in every subject, with unlimited practice inside those skills. There is no time limit on the free tier either way.
What is the difference between TopMarks Exam and TopMarks Learn?
TopMarks Exam is practice: past questions and exam-standard questions, with worked solutions, timed test mode and full exam simulation. TopMarks Learn teaches — it builds you a study plan, tracks which skills you have mastered, and shows where marks are won and lost. Most students start with Exam; the ones who find they are losing marks on the same topic repeatedly are the ones Learn is for.
Which length should I buy?
Count the months until your exam and buy that. The 6 months plan suits most people because it covers a serious run-up — long enough to work through the syllabus and then revise it. If your exam is weeks away, take 1 month and stop when you are done; that will cost you less and we would rather say so than sell you months you will not use. If you are in SS2 or early SS3 with the whole year ahead, 1 year is ₦3,500 a month — the cheapest way to buy the same thing.
Do I have to choose between Lessons and Exam?
No — not any more. Every paid membership opens both halves: TopMarks Learn for the lessons, skill maps and study plan, and TopMarks Exam for the past questions, Test Mode and full timed simulation. We used to sell them separately and it made students pick which half of the exam they wanted to pass. The only thing you choose now is how long.
How long do I actually get?
Exactly the length you bought, counted in days from the moment your payment clears: 1 month is 30 days, 3 months is 90 days, 6 months is 180 days and 1 year is 365 days. Buy on the 20th of March and a 3-month membership runs to the 18th of June. No part of it depends on which months happen to be short.
Is a longer plan actually cheaper?
Yes, and by a lot at the top end. 1 month is ₦6,000 a month. 1 year is ₦42,000 — ₦3,500 a month, which is ₦30,000 less than buying 1 month at a time for the same stretch (42% off), and works out at ₦115 a day. Buy the length you will use, though — a discount on months you never open is not a saving.
Does it renew automatically?
No. There is no subscription and no automatic charge — you buy a length of access and that is the whole transaction. When it ends you drop back to the free tier and keep every score, bookmark and mastered skill you have earned. Nothing is deleted. We will email you before your access ends so it does not stop in the middle of your revision, and you can buy another period whenever you want one.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
Yes — bank transfer, USSD, card or a wallet, whichever you have. Paystack shows you every option at checkout; there is nothing to set up beforehand and you do not need a card to buy a membership.
What subjects are covered?
18 exam-subject courses across WAEC, NECO and JAMB — the core subjects, each written separately for the board that examines it, so JAMB Mathematics is not WAEC Mathematics with a different label. The full list is on the subjects page — it grows, so it is counted here rather than typed out.
Can I use one account on a phone and a laptop?
Yes. Sign in on as many devices as you like — that is the reason an account is required at all, so progress, scores and weak spots follow the student rather than the browser. What you may not do is share one account between two students: their progress would merge and the weak-spot analysis would be meaningless for both.
Does it work on a cheap phone, and how much data does it use?
It is a website, not an app — nothing to install, and it runs on any phone with a browser. Questions are text and diagrams rather than video, which is deliberate: video is what makes exam-prep apps expensive to use. There is no offline mode yet, so a connection is needed while practising.
What happens if the network drops during a mock exam?
Your answers so far are held on the device, so a brief drop does not lose them. A long one can: if the connection goes while a timed paper is running, the clock keeps running. If that costs your child an attempt, email us and we will look at it — we would rather fix it than argue about it.
Can I see how my child is doing?
Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. There is no parent login or progress email today. What exists is the student’s own Progress screen, which they can show you, and which is honest about weak topics rather than flattering. A parent view is on our list; it is not built.
How do I cancel?
There is nothing to cancel, because nothing recurs. You pay once for a fixed length and it simply ends when that length is up. We hold no standing authority over your card or account, so there is no subscription to stop and nothing to remember to turn off.
Is the payment secure?
Payments are handled entirely by Paystack, a licensed Nigerian payment processor. Card details are entered on Paystack’s own checkout and never touch our servers — we cannot see or store a card number even if we wanted to.
Who writes and checks the questions?
Every question and solution is reviewed by examiners versed in WAEC and JAMB, each with more than thirty years of experience. Beyond that review, every question is authored against a written standard covering what it may claim, how the options are built and what the solution must show — and model answers are verified to score full marks before they ship. If you find one that is wrong, the report link on the question comes straight to us.
Is this the current syllabus?
Questions are written against the syllabuses currently published by the examining boards, and the bank is updated as those change. If you spot a question that is off-syllabus, the report link on it comes straight to us.
How quickly do you reply?
We aim to answer email within one working day. We are a small team and we would rather give you a real number than promise instant support and miss it.
How many questions are there?
Thousands of exam-standard questions, with more added regularly. They are written to the WAEC, NECO and JAMB syllabuses in exam format — not copied from past papers. Where we do hold a real past paper, the question says which sitting it came from.
